Epstein Choir Performs Around Atlanta
The Epstein School choir, led by Choral Co-Directors Dona Wise and Laura Lev
ine, has been performing around the Atlanta area as a part of our community outreach. They have lent their vocal talents to events such as a Georgia Tech vs. UGA basketball game, where they sang the Star Spangled Banner. The students also gave a holiday performance at the Governor's Mansion, where the choir performed Hanukkah songs and were presented with an official plaque recognizing their community service performance. Later, they sang Happy Birthday to the Executive Chef of the Governor's Mansion and were unexpectedly accompanied by the First Lady (Governor Purdue's wife), Mrs. Mary Perdue who came downstairs and joined in song. In addition, students performed at Epstein's Intown Campus housed at the Ahavath Achim Synagogue, Lenox Mall and at Epstein's very own Hanukkah Program, where parents and students shared a lovely holiday experience together.
This past summer Epstein students also performed at the Sandy Springs Heritage - Concert By the Springs. Special Events Director, Megan Webb stated in a letter to Epstein's Choir Director Dona Wise, "The involvement of The Epstein School students showed true community commitment and personalized an otherwise very large event. The volunteer committee raised the bar on the quality of talent, and The Epstein School students rose to the occasion. We appreciate your enthusiasm and support of this community event."
